Registry of Naval Vessels

Authors: HeyNicko & CaptainMinion

Introduction: The purpose of the Registry of Naval Vessels, or RNV, is to create a system for naming and identifying naval vessels. One of the following names must be used for each newly acquired military naval unit. The names are numbered 1 through 20, and they must be used in that order, going back to the first name when the list is finished.

The Naval Prefix our navy will use is CSV, or Celtic State Vessel

Section I: List of Ship Names:

  1. CSV Dedication

  1. Any ship name that is used again will be differentiated using consecutive Roman numeral symbols: I, II, III, etc.

  1. If a name is used more than 3 times, it will be removed from the list, and a new name will be selected by the Commons and passed onto the Senate for approval before finally being put into the registry.

  1. Any name can be skipped if requested by the President.

Section II: Special Considerations:

  1. Naming ships after people can be done; however, it will need approval across the government and then will be announced in the ‘gov-announcement tab’. Once a ship is given a person’s name, it cannot be reused.
  1. Ships named after people are given priority and must be placed on a ship once it has been built.

  1. Retirement of names for any vessel can be considered and will be announced in the ‘gov-announcement tab’ from The President. For a name to be considered up for retirement, a motion must be filed through the Senate.

  1. Names can be brought back out of retirement if the Commons and Senate agree to reinstatement.

Section III: Rules and Removal:

  1. The following naming restrictions shall apply:
    a. Names that are excessively violent or graphic;
    b. Names that insult, defame, or deliberately undermine the Republic, its institutions, or registered political parties;
    c. Names that promote hostile foreign powers, rival nations, or entities deemed contrary to the interests of the Republic;
    d. Names that violate server rules or community standards.

  1. The Ministry of Defence shall conduct the initial review of all proposed military unit names and determine whether they comply with these regulations.

  1. Within 48 hours of a naming decision being made, anyone in the commons may file an appeal with the president.

  1. The President may uphold, overturn, or modify the decision of the Ministry of Defence.

  1. The Supreme Court shall have final authority to interpret this section and resolve disputes regarding the legality of a name.

  1. If a name is removed for violating this section, by order of the Supreme Court, or for violating server rules, that specific name may not be resubmitted.
